Back to work on Monday and tons of hockey from Thursday to Sunday. We are trying to get back into our routines- school, homework, piano, hockey, etc...slow going for sure.
This morning I did 10 minutes of a yoga video and 5 minutes on the stationary bike. Packed 2 chicken ranch wraps for lunch, had my second bag of double batch veggies already at school with hummus and made a fruit smoothie with soy milk.
I like the feeling of accomplishment. I gained back 5 of the 20 pounds I lost from the move but considering it was the Christmas holidays I am not destroyed about it.
The exercise is my biggest hurdle- no pun intended.

Reflections
Yesterday was all hockey tryouts for my girl. I walked 8 laps of the rink which is a mile. Tree came down after midnight and I did not get much sleep, tossing and turning. Lots of hockey and what appears to be a head cold this weekend.

Indulge and move on
So we have hockey pretty much all day Thursday to Sunday which we love but means we have a bunch of food to use up or waste so I am savouring the Christmas bounty. I hope to start fresh when I head back to school. Is that a lie, an excuse or a promise?

Numbers
Is it only my rationale head that gets that a number is not what defines me whether it be age, weight or a grade?

Rain and the chasm between me and the gym
Rain is pouring down...I love the sun and it gives me energy.
Ugh.
I want to join the gym but is it just another way to fail? I see it when I do my dishes and I loved the feeling I get after the gym.
Hmm...

One little word challenge
I have considered Ali Edward's One Little Word challenge
http://aliedwards.com/2011/12/one-little-word-2012.html#more-17606
I am creating this blog to help me with this journey.
My word is NOURISH. I finished 2011 more aware of my food intake and saw it on a list of words and it spoke to me.
I want to nourish my body and soul, nourish my family with food, love and attention, and nourish others who cannot nourish themselves.
Today I am looking at a recipe for tomorrow: http://www.wholeliving.com/130293/creamy-broccoli-white-bean-soup?center=0&gallery=153854&slide=130293
